Clear Company Strategy
A focused project-development company – Finding value others have overlooked
Marque Oil and Gas focuses on opportunities in mature basins where existing knowledge, infrastructure and new technical thinking can unlock resources that have remained undeveloped.
The company operates through a lean specialist structure. Early technical work defines the opportunity and development pathway, with project-specific capital raised when licences and work programmes support investment.

Corporate History
Previous Licence holdings
Marque Oil and Gas successfully applied for a Promote Licence in the UK’s 30th Licensing Round in 2017. Licence P2409 covered the Freya and Fulla discoveries West of Shetland, close to established North Sea infrastructure.
The licence was later relinquished, but the work demonstrates the company’s ability to identify, evaluate and progress material offshore opportunities within a formal licensing environment.
The Licence was relinquished in 2021

Current Activity
The journey to the Isle of man
We have been evaluating and ranking UK prospective licence areas for stranded opportunities since 2016 and have identified a portfolio of opportunities within the UKCS.
We have had a focus on the northern part of the East Irish Sea since 2017, with a detailed comprehensive review of all East Irish Sea wells and analogous Southern North Sea wells. We have reviewed all available basin analysis reports and used all available public domain seismic data to map the entire basin.
We have concluded that there is a potentially significant gas resource in the waters of the Isle of Man.
This is the culmination of nearly ten years work.
But it is still only the start of the journey.
Before development, the gas field must be properly appraised to determine if the gas is present in sufficient volumes for an economic developement.
Furthermore, the gas field lies underneath the planned Mooir Vannin wind farm and cannot be appraised or developed once the wind farm is in place.
We are seeking a licence to appraise the gas field before a wind farm development is installed.
